Sheleg al iri (snow on my city)

Shira's Shots
In the meantime, here are the lyrics, here's a choral performance, and here's a video of one of the two dances choreographed to Naomi Shemer's "Sheleg al Iri" by two different choreographers. Not only does the dance appear to be one that I once knew and had forgotten, but the choral performance sounds familiar from my days as a synagogue-choir alto--I think we sang the same arrangement, but at a faster tempo.

Wow, I really miss my hometown of NY. I live in the South now, no more snow for me:(
The South looks a lot more liveable at this time of the year. :) I will admit, though, that newly-fallen snow is beautiful. But when you have to walk or drive through it, it loses its appeal.
Wow, that's a lot of snow. I'm a true southerner myself, so I only experience the occasional dusting of snow.
Techelet, we've seen worse (not often, thank goodness), but this was a pretty hefty amount.
